Why the exam comes first
This is the part that reads as unglamorous and matters most.
Cosmetic work that ignores the bite does not last. Teeth that wear, chip or debond usually do so because a bite problem was never diagnosed, and porcelain placed over that problem fails in the same way the enamel did.

You wear the proposed shape home. You eat with it, talk with it and see it in your own mirror in your own light.
Anything you want changed is changed before the ceramist starts. Changes at that stage cost time; changes after the porcelain exists cost a remake.
